Hunter and Jeremy's ringtone

Every time Jeremy's phone rings, Hunter will break into dance.  I had to catch it on video!

Hunter's 1st Birthday Party

A few days before Hunter's birthday, we had family over to help celebrate the big event.  Hunter had a blast playing with his cousins, opening presents and digging into his cake and playing again until he passed out in his new swing.  He only napped for a few minutes b/c it was late in the day and he needed to sleep at night.

Having a ball

Hunter really enjoys throwing his ball.  I'm so glad I caught this on film!

Hunter turns ONE year old!

ONE year!
What an awesome year!  A year ago I wouldn’t have guessed how wonderful and rewarding being a mom is.  Everyday Hunter brings a smile to my face.  The little guy is so much fun and finds ways to surprise me with things he can do.
One year stats:
23lbs 5oz – 50th percentile
30.75” – 55th percentile
18.5” -  50th percentile
Milestones and fun adventures for month #12
Using the sign for "more" a lot
Loves playing where’s Hunter?
Laughs when Bow squeaks his toys
Picks Bow’s food dish out of the holder and runs (in his walker) with it .  It’s a sight to see
Puts his zoo animals on the “talker” part of his zoo.  A few times he has pressed it down to make the animal talk
Lots of pool play dates with friends
We put Hunter’s soother in his crib a while ago and he really enjoys turning it on when he wakes up.  One night after he nursed, I laid him down and walked away by time I got the monitor turned on he had turned on the soother and was laying down the other way.  It just made me laugh b/c it was too cute.
Kicks the ball while walking holding onto fingers.
Figured out how to pull the monitor off the wall (we moved the cord and he can’t reach now)
He had a cold for a few days.
I had Jeremy dress Hunter a few times and was really impressed with the outfits he put on him…Hunter looked very good.
Loves to put his hand over his mouth and play “Indian”.
Will take a few steps but not consistent
Loves to throw balls and chase them down
Sets his Laugh and Play puppy up after knocking it down
TIPS his sippy cup and drinks it by himself!  I didn’t think this day would come.  He would hold his bottle or cup up to his mouth but wouldn’t tilt it.  When we would try to help, he would let go and let us hold it.  But now he is a pro!
Still wakes up at night.
Getting better about napping during the day.  He even had a few 2-2.5 hour naps this month.

Cole’s 10th Birthday

One of the advantages to having a summer birthday and a big backyard is all the cool inflatable waterslides and toys you can have.  This year Cole got the biggest slide in the city for home use.  It was insane!  Before all of Cole’s buddies came over, we had some family time and the boys played in the “pool” section of the slide.  The boys enjoyed splashing around and I even went down the slide a couple times.  Somehow none of Coles friends broke any bones or got seriously hurt.  Just had a few bloody lips.

Cousins at the Pool

The cousins had a fun day at the pool.  The little boys loved watching Cole swim laps and show off his strokes.  They also watched Cole dive into the pool, go down the slide and do handstands.  Someday they will be able to do all of thatJ  Hunter didn’t take a morning nap and it hit him about an hour into our stay.  He was relaxing in his floaty, singing his tired song and having trouble keeping his eyes open.  Soon he started laying his head down…so cute but he couldn’t fall asleep in the pool.  So we got out and had lunch.  That afternoon Hunter took a good napJ

Happy 4th of July!

We had a fun family day by going to Le Peep for breakfast, driving around while H napped, trip to Lowes and dinner at Jeremy’s parents.

Cole and Hunter

Hunter loved waking up in the morning to see his cousin Cole at our house.  Hunter noticed Cole’s bellybutton and kept putting his finger in itJ  They had lots of fun running around the house together.

Hunter's First Haircut

After months of hearing Jeremy say that Hunter needs a haircut, I finally agreedJ  For his first hair cut I had my hair dresser Nicole do it for a couple reasons; I know and trust her, it was convenient to have it done after my appointment and the reasonable cost.
Hunter did a wonderful job at sitting on my lap while Jeremy held a sucker and my mom recorded.  Every once in a while Hunter would look at Nicole like “what are you doing?”  I wish I would have taken a before picture but I guess since we have video that will have to be good enough.

Father's Day 2012

For father's day Jeremy wanted a water bottle with a pictures of Hunter and Bow on it.  So I got the two together for a photo shoot:

Jeremy’s mom had given us a bag of clothes that Jeremy wore when he was a baby so I took some picture of him in that outfit too:

Poor little Hunter had a cold this day and you can tell in his face that he wasn’t feeling 100% but he did well for the pictures.
