Every so many years Jeremy is able to enjoy a long weekend for his birthday that falls close and sometimes on Memorial day. This year his employer is giving employees a day off for their birthday so Jeremy got an extra long weekend that was much needed after countless months of working 60+ hour work weeks. Hopefully soon (in the next couple months) things will slow down a little at his job.
Friday Jeremy was able to enjoy some family time at the puppy shower but most of his day was spent tinkering with our lawnmower. It seems to be on it's 9th life and we think it's a goner. Luckily he received Home Depot gift cards...so we will soon buy a new mower.
Saturday Jeremy got to sleep in until Hunter, Bow and I woke him up at 8:00:-) We had made chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast and had his gifts wrapped for him. The rest of the morning and afternoon were spent at soccer, playing in the backyard and washing cars. After Hunter's nap we went to Jeremy's parents house to celebrate.
Sunday and Monday ended up being lazy days at home. It was nice just to hang out.
Hope Jeremy was able to relax some this weekend and enjoy his birthday!

| Hunter "forward" facing for the first time. We had a carseat installed in Jeremy's truck and decided to go ahead a flip him for the truck. I still have him rearfacing in my car though. American Academy of Pediatrics recommends rearfacing until age 2 and I completely understand and educate my dad each time he complains about how uncomfortable Hunter is in his seat;-) Working with SafeKids has really ruined me and made me psycho about safety! |
