December Picture Update

Truck loving little boy

Wes and Hunter at the Lawrence Christmas Parade.
We got up to Lawrence pretty early and found a parking spot.  Though all the parking on Mass Street was taken, there weren't a lot of people out and about.  It was pretty neat walking down Mass without a crowd while listening to the Christmas music they had playing.  We spent a while in the toy store but both kids did well when it was time to head back to our parade watching spot.

Eva kept saying "more, more!" She loves watching parades.

Eva excitingly stood next to a fire truck at the Lenexa Community Center, while watching a train go by.
Hunter was at school but we made sure to tell him all about it and he was so excited that Eva see it all.  Such a sweet boy.

I love that I get to take Hunter to work with me.  He loves shooting baskets while I set up for class.

he made it!

A lot of online shopping was done this year and Hunter made use of all the boxes.
Lots of towers and trains were made.

Our first trip to Sar Ko Par Park.  The kids loved it.
It was a quick trip but we had a good time and told them we would visit again.
When we got there, the family parked next to us was getting ready to leave.  Their daughter was having a breakdown about having to leave.  It made me smile but felt bad for the parents who were telling her/promising her so many things to get into the car.  Well....Eva threw her own fit when leaving too:-) It's tough to leave such a cool place.

Checking out the toys while waiting to see Santa

Playing with the remote control train

Sweet boy

Eva checking Santa out

Exactly what I had envisioned:-)

Maybe next year will be better.  But Hunter did great:-)

Eva soon just put her head down and wouldn't look up.
Hunter said he told Santa what he wanted along with what Eva wanted.  Such a great big bubba.

Ready to smile for the camera again.

Sometimes I find them being sweet.  Hunter was reading books to Eva.

Enjoying the warmish days playing with trucks and sand.

And being a firefighter

Eva found Jeremy's hat and had to put it on.

Checking out the tree

A new game Eva likes to play.  She will get a dish towel and bring it to me to cover her up.

I didn't think we were going to get Bow to see Santa but luckily we did.  I took Hunter and Bow while Jeremy stayed home with a napping Eva.  It worked out best not to torture her a second time.

Our second trip to Sar Ko Par on a beautiful night.

Both times we went, Hunter commented that it was like Disneyland:-)

Taking pictures with the train.

Eva's turn

Hunter loved having a box turned into his own little house with Christmas lights.

I really wish I would have bought this set a few years ago.  Both kiddos loved playing with the Little People Christmas town.  I got a great deal on it and am hoping to get a few more pieces when they go on sale.

Eva loved the light house too.

Christmas party at Hunter's school

Opening up gifts at the party.

Uncle Mark got to see Hunter's Christmas program.  I have video of the program but it's on the camcorder and/or Jeremy's phone and isn't uploaded yet.  Hunter did a great job!!  It was so fun to see him perform the songs and poems he had learned.

Getting new tires at Costco.

Both kiddos having fun in the house.
Playing with the nativity set

Hunter is really into taking pictures.

Another picture taken by Hunter of Eva's feet.

Thanks for the cute pjs G-ma!

Practicing her plie.

I won't open the stool for Eva to stand on so this is her solution:-)

Can I please get a picture of you guys in your jimmies??

I didn't think Hunter would be into one piece pjs this year but I was WAY wrong.  He LOVEs them.  He calls them "slips" because of the grips on the feet.  And he gets really excited when he and Eva are wearing them together.

New hairstyle to keep her hair out of her face while she has a very running nose.
Hunter commented that he didn't like her hair;-)

The night I knew I needed to call the doctor the next day.  Hunter had ran a fever for five days (leading up to Dec 23) and this night while eating dinner all he wanted to do was close his eyes.  He told me he was ready to take a bath and go to bed.

A few days after Hunter started running a fever, Eva started.  So on Dec 23, I took them both to the dr.  Eva had an ear infection and Hunter just had fluid in his ears along with his fever.

Eva loves to sit and look at the Christmas tree.
Always a construction site at our house.
