Visit from Aunt Linda and Uncle Jim

Every June my Aunt Linda and Uncle Jim come to KC for a visit.  We didn't get to see them much this time around but did have a fun afternoon/evening with them.  Though social media I feel like we see them more then we actually do:-)

A few pics from the visit:

So Proud!

Earlier this month my nephew Cole tried out for Sporting KC Academy and made the team!!!  So proud of him and all his hard work he has put into practicing.  What is also cool about the team is that half of the kiddos that made the team have been coached by my brother for the past 4 years.  He has done a great job with the kiddos and now it's on to the next adventure!

A listing of the team is on the Sporting KC website.  Check it out here:-)

Another fun afternoon

Last weekend Hunter and Wes spent the afternoon together hanging out at my parents house.  They do a great job playing together and share (trade) toys very well.  One thing that is hard to share is the one car my parents have for the boys.  It's a "one-seater" but the boys make it work and both sit in it together.  My parents will be looking for more ride-on toys soon...

The next day the boys went to Sports Clips for a haircut.  They both did very well and look great!

Dude...your hair looks awesome:-)

T-Bones Game

Every year Jeremy's company host a night at the T-bones for their employees and family to enjoy.  We tailgated before the game and Hunter had a blast running around, dancing to music, playing in the cooler, watching airplanes and eventually finding a ball to throw and kick.

A ball!

Ready for some baseball

opening and closing the coolers was his favorite activity of the night

Star Wars night

Jeremy's dad came with us to the game and he ran into one of his coworkers there.
His coworker caught a foul ball and gave it to Hunter.

"Airplane!!!!"

Hunter didn't want to get too close to Sizzle but did great giving him a High-5

It was a really late night for Hunter and the next morning he got up at regular time.  Kinda of figured he would do that.  That day was his last day of soccer and the little buddy was exhausted for it!!  I could tell within the first few minutes of practice he was done for.  Instead of doing the running exercises he just sat down.  Instead of spending 10 minutes stacking cones and knocking them down, he did it once and stacked them all back up and put them away.  After soccer we went home and had lunch.  This picture is of him in a very dazed state while eating:-)  This boy definitely needs a full nights rest to be "all systems go" the next day!

Deanna Rose adventure

Malinda and I had never been to Deanna Rose and we wanted to take the boys so we went last week.  Though the boys had a great time we did learn that next time, we will go right when they open and only stay an hour or so until the bus loads of kiddos on field trips get there;-)  Malinda took pictures of the boys feeding the goats so I will have to link to her blog post when she gets it up.  The boys loved feeding the goats...quickly learned they had to hold onto the bottle really tight b/c the goats would pull it out of their hands!

Wes and Hunter taking in the sights they were about to embark on:-)

so happy to see the ducks!

I think they are both thinking...why do we have to keep stopping for a picture

watching the horses

Since they couldn't ride the real horse, this will have to do:-)

The boys could have rang the cow bells all day

Random Pictures that Make me Smile!

Hunter laid down next to Bow (on the kitchen floor) and held his paw.

Hunter in his playroom with his hardhat on.

Stuck his fork in his grilled cheese and ate it like that.

At his buddy Ethan's birthday party he spent 97% of the time watching airplanes.  They live by the Olathe airport.

Loves to wear his swim hat and look at books.

Visit from the newest baby in the family

A few weeks ago my cousin Angie and her 5 month old baby girl, Simone came to KC for a few days.  It was great to actually see them in person!  With social media, I feel like I already new the baby and all what my cousin has been up to:-)  Ang and her husband do a really good job at posting on facebook and blogging to keep family up to date on their lives.
