Eva's Baptism

On June first Eva was baptized at St. Joseph's Church.  Her godparents are Aly and Donnie.  I was a little worried that she was going to be fussy the whole time but she fell asleep before the priest came out and didn't wake until the water was on her head:-)  After the ceremony we took pictures and had family over for cake.  Thank you to Malinda for taking all the pictures:-)

Before this picture, Hunter gave the Priest a high-five

May Picture Update

Picture update...

Here is a slide show of pictures from May.  I have fun taking pictures of Eva in her different outfits and I'm lucky to get Hunter to stand still for a picture.  He is very busy but always loves to get in a picture with Eva:-)

Hunter goes Fishing

Jeremy has been taking Hunter to a few different lakes/ponds to do some fishing.  Hunter loves it and Jeremy says he is getting the hang of it and is getting pretty good.

His little fishing pole broke during his first adventure
but at least we have a picture with him using it:-)

Love this picture of him and his fish

This video cracks me up...Hunter has watched it hundreds of times:-)

Hunter's 3rd Season of Soccer

During the spring we had Hunter enrolled in Lil' Kickers.  Every week he would say "Soccer Saturday" and was always very excited to go to soccer.  This was the last season for parents to be on the field with them.  Jeremy was a trooper and did all the classes with Hunter while I was either at home with Eva or watching from the stands with her.  In the fall we would like to find a little team for him to be on and then in the winter he can do another round of Lil' Kickers.

Hunter did very well with the bunny mascot.  Very proud of him:-)

Eva turns 2 months old!

The month started out great with Eva sleeping through the night!  But a few days later she had a cough that would wake her up so sleeping through the night turned into her waking one or two times.  We had her sleep in the Rock N Play a few nights to help with her cough; thinking that being propped up would help her breath.  We also moved her into her room at that time.  She had already slept in our room longer that Hunter.  The transition went fine.  Her cough continued but got better.  The nurse said it would probably hang around for a few weeks and she was right.  This month we had 6 week pictures taken at Target (pics a in future post).  It's crazy how much babies change in a short period of time.  Eva had her first trip to Lawrence to visit Malinda and Wes.  Eva does ok in the car as long as it keeps moving so the highway ride went well.  We had some warm days so we were outside some...we also had some cold days and were thankful for some of the fleece outfits she has.

Some of her likes:
nursing
being held
taking walks (naps) while in the Ergo carrier
being talked to
watching her big bro

Some of her dislikes:
pacifiers (I'm still not giving up yet...but hope is beginning to be lost)
bottles (she screams horribly when they come near her)
tummy time
being left in the carseat once we reach our destination
car rides with lots of stops; the light at 79th and Quivira has never been our friend.

Eva's 2 month well baby check went well except having shots:-(  It's horrible to watch her get her shots.  A few hours after her appointment you could tell she wasn't feeling well and was in some pain.  It broke my heart the way she cried but then slept like a champ that night.

Stats:

13 lbs - 90th percentile
23 inches long - 75th percentile
15 inches for head circumference - 55th percentile

Easter 2014

Easter seems so long ago!  So to sum it up we had a great day:-)  Hunter and Eva were brought baskets from the Easter Bunny, Hunter hunted for eggs in the house, we spent most of the day at Jeremy's parents and then did a quick visit with my folks to end the day.

Trying to get a picture was impossible :-)

Trucks and Big Rigs 2014

Hunter continues to really like big trucks so we knew we couldn't miss this event!  We attended last year and Hunter had a wonderful time so we knew he would love it even more this year.  Eva did great and slept most of the time, even with all the horns and sirens:-)
