Back to Work

Last week I ended my maternity leave and started back up at work.  I knew it was going to be tough to leave my little boy all day but also knew I was leaving him in great hands.  With my mom watching Hunter, I couldn't ask for anything better.  We are lucky to have her come to our house in the morning so we don't have to wake Hunter and get him out the door at a certain time.

The first day was the hardest but my co-workers tried to make it better for me.  When I arrived to work I had a new big box of Kleenexes, a halloween hat for Hunter and a fun mothers necklace for me:-)  I pretty much cried all day but no one cared.  By the third day, I only teared up.  I call that a success.  I have a co-worker who had a baby boy in June so we have lots of stories to share which makes for a lot of non-productive work time.

For the month of October, I am able to work 3 days and have Monday and Friday off.  This way I can ease back into the work scene and still get 4 days of Hunter in a row.  For having to go back to work, I'm lucky that I work in such a flexible environment with a wonder, understanding boss!
