Wow…another month has flown by. This month was full of consignment sale shopping, KU basketball and a ton of milestones! At his 9 month well baby check up his stats were:
weight: 21 lbs and 1 oz = 60th percentile
height: 29 3/8 in = 90th percentile
Head: 18.25 in = 75th percentile
The happenings of the past month:
- Throughout March, most of the KU games were passed Hunter’s bedtime but he did get to watch KU beat NC in the Elite 8. Hunter spent the night away from us for the first time so we could watch the Final 4 game at Callahans with friends. Hunter did pretty well, waking twice (nothing new).
- We raised his jumper up to the next level…he was looking like he was going to fall out of it when he leaned forward.
- With the nice weather, Hunter has had a lot of outside time and lots of walks around the neighborhood. He laughs at Bow when he gets a drink from the hose or a water bottle. It’s pretty cute!
- This month he really started liking “touch and feel” books and puzzles with large knobs.
- Tried lots of new foods in his mesh feeder and then just on his tray for him to put in his mouth. (watermelon, peaches, pears, green beans, peas, carrots, sweet potatoes) He is getting really good at getting the food in his mouth and still goes crazy over puffs and mum mums.
- On March 29, his first tooth (on bottom) popped through! Not too much longer the next one showed up. He didn’t seem too bothered by it but his eating did slow a little bit.
- We saw the Easter Bunny at Oak Park mall after work and Hunter did great. He didn’t smile but he didn’t cry, so I call the success.
- Hunter knows the bedtime routine pretty well. If it’s bath night, he will have a bath, if not just a wipe down with wipe. Then the fussing begins while he gets lotioned and clothed. The fussing stops while we read books. Bow also knows the routine and likes to sit right next to us while we read books. Hunter says night night to Bow and Dada, he nurses and falls asleep.
- On Saturday April 14, Hunter was struck with Hand Foot and Mouth Disease. Awfulness. It started out with a few bumps and a little rash but then got worse the next couple days. We are thinking he caught it on Easter from Cally; it had gone around her daycare and Cally had a few spots on her a few days after Easter. The virus really affected the way Hunter ate, nursed and slept. The week prior to getting it, he was only waking up once during the night, but now is waking 2,3,4 times. He would also wake up with a dirty diaper in the middle of the night. He did that for 6 nights. The past couple days have been a little better so hopefully he will get back to normal. My mom and I also got Hand Foot and Mouth.
- One night when Hunter woke up, I looked at the monitor and found him sitting! That day we dropped the crib down to the lowest setting. He is now a champ at sitting up in his crib and whenever he is playing on the ground.

| Let me out! |
- Hunter enjoys drinking from a straw. When he was sick, we would sit on the front porch watching cars and people go by and listening to toddler radio on Pandora while taking sips of water or milk in his straw cup.
- Other new things this month are that he is waving and clapping
 |
| clap, clap, clap |

| Waving to Jeremy who was looking in the window |
- Hunter met his Great Aunt Linda and cousin Matthew. He will get to meet his Great Uncle Jim in June when Jim and Linda visit again.
- No crawling yet but I’m sure that will change this monthJ
