Jeremy and his little helper
The other day when Jeremy was mowing Hunter decided to help him out with his mower. Hunter looked so cute trying to mow like his daddy and of course Bow wasn't too far behind Hunter.

Boo at the Zoo
On Sunday we went to Boo at the Zoo with Jeremy's parents. Hunter had a blast checking out the animals with his Gma and Papa.

Soccer - Lil' Kickers Thumpers
We are half way through Hunter's soccer "season". This is his second time doing Lil' Kickers and he seems to enjoy it. The class is Parent-Tot so Jeremy and I are with him to help him throughout class and it sure wears me out! This year he has his buddies Ethan and Preston in class so that makes it a lot of fun!
The coach is a lot of fun and Hunter seems to really like him and will talk about him at home if I try to "practice" with him he will say "Coach Sean" because he knows that his coach will ask him to do those things:-)

Pumpkin Patch 2013
A few Fridays ago Hunter and I met up with Malinda and Wes at Schaake's Pumpkin Patch in Lawrence. The boys had a fun time running around playing on the playground, in the maze and out in the field with the pumpkins. Hunter really liked the tractors and any other farm equipment he could see.

Some Fall Fun
I've been trying to keep Hunter busy this month...(thinking that if I can wear him out during the day he will sleep better at night) and just because there is so much to do and he is at such a fun age to watch him take everything in!
We have visited a few different parks this month. His new favorite thing is to go down slides. We have a nice park in our neighborhood but the "big" playground is a little too big for him but of course he loves to play on it! I took Hunter to West Flanders park in Shawnee and the playground is much better for him to climb on and go down the slides. We also like to walk at Hidden Park in Lenexa and look in the pond for fish.
We have visited Deanna Rose a few times. Hunter loves walking around and petting the goats and ringing the cow bells and of course playing on the playground.
Our neighbors in the cul-de-sac across the street from us had a block party a few weeks ago and Hunter had a blast playing basketball the WHOLE time. He would go from shooting baskets in the real goal to shooting baskets in the little fisher-price goal. Surprisingly he made a lot of the baskets in the real goal.
Other activities include the pumpkin patch and boo at the zoo. I'll post about those in separate posts:-)

Old Wives Tales and Gender Prediction
Soon we will find out the gender of our baby but in the meantime I thought it would be fun to see what the Old Wives Tales would tell us what we are havingJ
Chinese Gender Predictor Calendar – Girl
Baby’s Heart rate is above 140 – Girl (barely above so it’s almost a tie b/w boy and girl)
Morning Sickness – Girl
Needle test – Girl
I prefer to sleep on my right side – Girl
Headaches – a few here and there – Boy
Baking Soda Test – Girl
Crave Salty or Sweet – both but I guess more salty – Boy
Increased Acne - Girl
My prediction is a Boy even though the tales are telling a different story. But really I don’t have a clue.
Jeremy wont take a guess.
Hunter said Boy tonight.
Either way we are really excited and have no preference over the other. The other day we were asked if we really wanted a girl and we both said we are happy either way.
Weeks 16 – 19
It’s taken a while but I’m starting to have some good days when I don’t feel as nauseated. I still have trouble finding something pleasing to eat. I’ve slowly added Mexican back and even surprised Jeremy by saying we could eat out at a Mexican restaurant last week. I think once I start eating real meals I’ll feel even better. For now I just basically snack all day. Maybe if I ate more nutritious snacks I would feel better. But for now I, I do feel better than the first 16 or 17 weeks.
Though I haven’t felt well most of the pregnancy, I sure don’t have a problem putting on the weight.
I have felt little movements from the baby and can’t wait to feel them more often!
My bellybutton is now poking out...Hunter likes to push it:-)
Sleeping at night is ok. I wake to use the bathroom and usually fall right back to sleep. A few nights I have made it without waking or at least I don’t remember getting up:-) I can’t really sleep on my stomach anymore which is a bummer b/c that’s my favorite position to sleep. Jeremy said he would cut a hole in the mattress for my belly if I wanted him to;-)
We haven’t done much to prepare for baby yet. Once we know the gender it will be a lot easier to start looking for nursery ideas. Each month I have set a goal of clearing the guest room out b/c it’s going to be Baby’s room but I haven’t accomplished that yet. My goal deadline on that will be Thanksgiving. If the baby is a boy we won’t paint the room b/c it’s blue and I’ll just go with that but if it’s a girl then we will have to change it.
