Hunter turns 4 years old!

4 years old!  When Hunter woke up, I told him Happy Birthday and that he was 4 years old.  His answer was "right now?"  Yes, buddy you are 4 right now!  I also tried to sing to him but he didn't want me to.  That trend lasted the whole day and anytime someone tried to sing to him he would tell them that someone else already had done that.  I had to work in the morning so Hunter hung out with my parents for a few hours.  When I got home we went to Hy-Vee to order his cake for his party and to get a cookie from his favorite cookie lady.  The rest of the afternoon was just hanging out at home while Eva napped.  When Jeremy got home from work Hunter opened our gifts.  Well, really Hunter saw the gifts and just opened them before I could tell him to wait.  But he was very excited and I didn't get any pictures...  He got a few books and a sit on excavator that he uses everyday to dig up anything and everything.

We then went with Jeremy's mom to dinner and had planned to go the T-Rex Cafe at the Legends.  We hadn't been there but were excited for the birthday boy to try something new.  As we pulled out of our neighborhood he asked why we turned that way.  He wanted to go to Margaritas, which is right down the street.  He then thought we were going to Jose Peppers (aka the restaurant by the movie theater) but we kept telling him we were going to go eat with the dinosaurs.  We went to T-Rex Cafe but the wait was 45 minutes and we weren't up for that long of a wait so Hunter did end up eating his favorite, Jose Peppers at Legends.  We were able to walk right in so we are glad we made that choice.

After dinner we headed back to our house for some cake.  I lost count of the number of times we relit the candles for him.  He loves blowing them out.

This year I finally remembered to ask him some questions that I will hopefully repeat over the years to see how his answers differ.

Favorite TV Show - Rock Chalk (I don't understand that answer but he really likes Miles from Tomorrow Land and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse)
Favorite Lunch - Peanut butter and jelly and chocolate milk
Favorite Game - Family Guy (Jeremy plays a family guy game on his phone)
Favorite Snack - marshmallows and cheerios
Favorite Animal - goat (really random)
Favorite Song - Truck Tunes
Favorite Book - Disney one (Jr. Encyclopedia of Animated Characters)
Best Friend - Weston
Favorite Cereal - Chocolate (?)
Favorite Activity Outside - playing in sandbox, playing with trucks
Favorite Drink - chocolate milk
Favorite Holiday - Christmas and Halloween
Sleeps with at night - bunny and likes to watch movies
Favorite food to eat for breakfast - oatmeal
