We had Hunter's party at a park again this year. Hunter loves to play at different parks and to bring his trucks to play with all the mulch, rocks and dirt. We decided on West Flanders park because it has a lot of shade and the play area is pretty big. Months ago I asked Hunter what he wanted for a theme and of course he said construction trucks, specifically "exca-diggers". That is what he calls excavators...until he turned 4 and now he calls them excavators. So we decorated with construction themed decor and had a construction truck themed cake. If he has another park party, I'm forgoing the decorations b/c for two years in a row it's been windy and impossible to decorate.
Hunter loved having his family and friends there to celebrate his birthday. Lots of fun playing on the equipment and playing with construction trucks.
Love getting a cookie sheet cake. Thick cookie...so yummy. I also made dirt cake for the kiddos to eat.
Hunter helping Jeremy bring things from his truck.
It was very hot but it didn't seem to phase the birthday boy. At the end of the party we poured water on his head and he loved it!
Porter and Hunter
Cole and Jeremy
Cole did a great job with the video camera.
Gran with Eva The party wore Eva out.
Malinda with Sam
Opening gifts
At the very end of the party as we were all getting ready to walk to our cars, we decided to get a picture of the cousins.
And then we had Gramps and Gran join the kiddos.
