Poor Bow

We had noticed Bow itching his face some, but didn't think much of it.  One night, when I was awake with Eva, I noticed that Bow wasn't sleeping in our room, which was strange.  I thought he must be up to something but didn't know what.  The next night, I was playing with Hunter and had Bow laying right next to me.  I was petting him and then got my face close to his and noticed it was bleeding!  I lifted his ear up so I could see and his face looked like it had been ripped into.  Jeremy said it looked infected and should take him to the emergency vet.  When Hunter saw that Bow was hurt, he went into his room and got "BooBoo Medicine" (neosporin) and said "sorry you got scratched".  It was so sweet, I cried...  So I took Bow to the emergency clinic and they said, looked like he had a hot spot and just really got to itching it. So he was on some meds for a while and needed to wear a cone collar for a few weeks, while it healed.  Well a few weeks turned into 5 weeks!  Every time we would think he was good to go, he would scratch what was left of the scab and he would bleed again.

Hunter was a huge help with Bow while he was wearing the collar.  Bow couldn't fit through the gate opening in our front room so Hunter would fold Bow's collar so he could get in.  It was too cute.

Poor Bow

Eva wouldn't leave Bow alone

By the end, Bow just acted like the collar wasn't even there

And again, Eva messing with Bow
